My 2010 recap has gotten off to a late start, surprise surprise! :)

This first recap is from the wedding of Lauren & Ben. They were married in Lexington on May 22, 2010. I work with Lauren's mom Judy, and was sooo excited to be a part of their wedding! I got to hear about all the little details and planning, and then I got to see the finished product! I really felt like we had all come full circle! :)

This was one of the cutest weddings! Everything was so sweet and personal! I LOVED LOVED LOVED Lauren's sweet and chic bird-cage veil, her SHORT wedding dress, her adorable heels, everything was just perfect!

Horrible, No Good, Very Bad BLOGGER

So, if any of my past or potential clients check this...I must apologize! I've been SO busy lately with work, school, and client sessions, I have seriously neglected this blog.

Seeing as how winter is fast approaching, and how I shoot on-location, part-time, I can safely say the number of sessions I will be doing will be decreasing dramatically. With that being said, I want my blog to get through those harsh cold winter months with some recaps of my sessions!

Every week or so, beginning Monday, November 1st, I will begin posting recaps of my favorite (read: all) sessions!

My first engagement session of the season! These were taken at Fasig Tipton Horse Farm...had a lot of fun with these two...they are a lot of fun! Wedding in April with UK blue as the main color! Can't wait to see it! Oh yeah, did I mention that they have UK season tickets to football AND basketball? LUCKY! :)

Fall is one of my favorite seasons here in Kentucky...We have some beautiful scenery! Today I visited the most adorable farm in Richmond; Baldwin Farm on Tates Creek Rd...It was so busy with families picking out pumpkins and seeing the animals...I met Megan, Kyle, and Miss Karlie there to take her pictures...they are such a sweet little family...

Rachael & Brian were married at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Paintsville, KY. Brian was my husband's roommate when we were all still in school, and they all grew up with each other. It was nice for my husband to go back and see some of his old friends, and it was a beautiful ceremony and reception!

Today we braved the typical "Kentucky Derby day weather" for some engagement pictures! Rachael & Brian are getting married on July 11th, and are booked solid for the next month with showers and such. I think we got some cute shots today!

A last minute session gave me some awesome shots! This past weekend was my alma mater's 2009 Prom, Safari at Sunset...I photographed one of my favorite seniors and his girlfriend, and they looked absolutely adorable! (She didn't even know theme when she picked her dress, how fun is that?) Here's just a small sampling of Austin + Courtney...

Wedding Season

Wedding season is upon us! If you or someone you know is getting married this summer, consider us for your wedding photographer! We currently have two weekends booked, June 12th, and July 11th.

For weddings, we don't believe in time contraints...each wedding and event is unique, and there are no two weddings alike. Therefore, I usually begin coverage on the day of the wedding about 3-4 hours before the ceremony starts, to get shots of the bride getting her hair and make up done, and the groom and his men getting dressed and ready. I stay through the majority of the reception festivities to get the most important shots, like the cake-cutting, first dances, bouquet toss, etc etc. I also love getting candid shots, so I'll be there for as long as the party is hopping...

My charge for weddings is a flat fee of $500.00. This covers my time and talent only. Any travel outside of Madison County is additional. After your event, I go through and edit the best images from your event and put them on a high-resolution CD for you to have. You will receive a copyright and printing release form to do what you want with your images. These are your memories and stories, and we believe they are yours to keep. If you wish to order additional prints or gifts, a price list can be provided.

I went up to Warren Farm in Richmond on Sunday to do a session with Laura & Brian. We walked over her parents' farm as well as Acres of Land Winery. We had so much fun walking the fields and talking about their upcoming wedding...June 28th is the big day! I can't wait to see them all decked out!
